Beaver Builder Overview

Beaver builder layouts are made up of modular elements that can be saved, arranged and restyled to fit your purposes. This means that once you have a design you like, you can replicate it again and again as needed.

Let’s go over the basics:

Modules

Modules are the specific elements you add to your page. Headings, Text blocks, photos, videos etc are all modules. Modules are any element you add to the page that is not a layout item.

Modules can be saved and re-used.

Columns

Obviously, columns are vertical separators. The reason we break them out and explain them is because they can be edited individually, such that one column has a black background and another has no background (just like a table cell).

Every row contains at least one column. Modules go into columns, and can be stacked on top of one another.

Columns cannot be saved and re-used.

Rows

Rows span full length from left to right of your content area. They also contain both columns and modules. You can use rows with set heights to break up your layout (as separators), or use them to group your columns.

Rows can be saved and re-used.

Templates

Think of templates as a collection of rows. Templates are the full layout that you intend to use. If you like the design of an entire page, you can save it as a template, then re-use that layout for other pages.

Use Cases:

  • Specific, branded promo pages for outreach events.
  • Webinar Pages
  • Specific Resource Download Pages
  • Any case where you want to repeat what you’ve done already…or even start from a design you’ve already used.
